When We Are Closed

The time when the Surgery is closed is called "Out-of-Hours" and this is being standardised to 18:30 to 08:00 every night except weekends and bank holidays.

  • NHS 111 is a new non-emergency telephone service designed to help people access the correct urgent local health services both in and out of surgery hours. Local residents will be able to call 111 when they need medical help and advice, but it isn’t a 999 emergency.
  • NHS 111 will determine whether you can wait to see a health care professional at your practice or need use another urgent service in the area. This may include advice to go to your local pharmacist / walk in centre / Out of hours GP appointment or visit.
  • NHS 111 call handlers use the Directory of Service (DoS) to find the most appropriate available service for you.

In an emergency you can dial 999 to order an ambulance. If you have been hurt in a accident you can go direct to the Accident and Emergency Department at Barnet General Hospital which has 24hour opening, however minor injuries can be dealt with at Finchley Memorial Hospital (See below)

Walk-in Centres
